Youngpreneur Square (the “Square,” “we,” “us”) is an all‑ages virtual city where young entrepreneurs and real businesses have storefronts. Because children may use the Square, we keep it simple and safe: you can explore and play without giving us any personal information at all. This page explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rules for using the Square.

Please read this alongside your own review. Fill in every [bracketed] item with your real details before publishing, and have a qualified attorney review this document — especially the children’s‑privacy sections — before a public launch.

Privacy Policy

The short version

What we collect

If you play as a guest: no personal information. Your coin count and a note of your age‑range answer are stored locally in your browser (not sent to us) so the game remembers your progress on that device.

If you create an account (13+ only): your email address, a username you choose, and a password (which is stored securely and which we never see in plain text). We also store your Y‑coin balance.

If you report something: the reason you pick and any optional note you add. Reports are anonymous — we don’t require your name or email to send one.

Automatically: like most websites, our hosting and database providers process basic technical information (such as IP address and standard server logs) to deliver and protect the site. We use browser storage (local storage) to keep your game progress and, if you sign in, to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising trackers.

How we use information

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the Square, and only as needed:

Business listings link out to the businesses’ own websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don’t control.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep account information for as long as you have an account. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time by contacting us at [CONTACT EMAIL]. Guest coin data lives only in your browser — clearing your browser’s site data removes it.

Security

We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect information. No online service can promise perfect security, but we work to keep your data protected and to limit what we collect in the first place.

Children & COPPA

The Square is intended for a general, all‑ages audience and is designed so that children can enjoy it safely. In keeping with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

If you believe a child under 13 has created an account or provided us personal information, please contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL] and we will delete it promptly. Parents and guardians may contact us to review or delete any information associated with their child.

Terms of Use

Using the Square

By using Youngpreneur Square you agree to these terms. Please use the Square respectfully and lawfully. You agree not to: enter offensive, sexual, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate usernames or content; impersonate others; attempt to break, overload, or misuse the site; or use the Square to harm anyone, especially children.

Accounts

Accounts are for people 13 and older. You’re responsible for keeping your password private and for activity on your account. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or that we reasonably believe are unsafe.

Y‑coins & prizes

Y‑coins are a fun, in‑game feature. They have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold, or exchanged for money, and can be adjusted, reset, or discontinued. Any prize drawings are subject to their own rules, which we’ll post, and are void where prohibited. Daily limits apply to how many coins can be earned.

Business listings

Businesses that lease a storefront are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of their name, description, images, and links. Listings are reviewed before they appear publicly, but a listing is not our endorsement, and we don’t control the outside websites businesses link to. We may reject, hide, or remove any listing at our discretion. Leasing a spot does not guarantee any particular result, traffic, or placement.

Our content

The Square’s design, artwork, and code are owned by [BUSINESS LEGAL NAME] and may not be copied or reused without permission. Business names and logos belong to their respective owners.

No warranties & limitation of liability

The Square is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, [BUSINESS LEGAL NAME] is not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the Square. Some places don’t allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.

Changes

We may update these terms and this policy. When we make meaningful changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, let account holders know.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE / COUNTRY], without regard to conflict‑of‑law rules.
